3 Phrases to Describe my Dance Background are:
1. I began dancing at the age of 2 in Wisconsin. At my very first recital there’s an iconic home video of me refusing to get off the stage after my performance! I continued training at a studio in my youth where I was on their competition team (Lynn was my director!), a part of their performing companies, was a student teacher, and then later on taught some classes on my own.
2. After that, I received a dual degree in elementary and special education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison while also dancing in college. Since then, I’ve been teaching dance all around the country for the past 6 years! During that time I’ve taught to a wide range of ages of dancers, and have had numerous best choreography awards and dancers win overall standings.
3. My most recent favorite project was being casted and filmed as a dance instructor for Dancely, a streaming service that provides dance education and entertainment for kids all around the world. When not at Schotime dancing, I am probably exploring the outdoors with my husband- Joe, son- Simon and dog- Loui.
